Assisted Therapy Ponies

Having worked in care homes and with vulnerable adults and children in the Homelessness sector for several years this is something I have wanted to do for a while. The response we had from our visit to Cherry Trees Care Home in Bestwood Park was amazing. The citizens at Cherry Trees suffer with varying degrees of dementia and some have poor mobility, so as we were able to take Megan and Bobby inside they could get up close and personal with a hands on experience that created a truly memorable day for everyone. We even made the ITV, BBC and Notts TV news that evening! January 22nd 2015

Health professionals have reported that there are strong psychological benefits from working with horses, in particular when it involves children with autism, dementia patients and adults with depression. We can offer a valuable service that will benefit both the young and old when we bring our pony's to your care home, hospice, children's centre or any other organisation. The benefits for individuals with learning difficulties, depression, anxiety and visual impairment is immense.

We are Fully Insured to bring the pony's inside to meet citizens in a designated, suitable place,eg the main lounge area or outside on a nice day.
A Risk Assessment is carried out and we also hold a Riding Establishment Licence which is required for working pony's.
We follow the Code of Conduct and Client Confidentiality. We also take every precaution to ensure the pony's don't have any 'house training issues' on the big day.
